2019 J.K. Carriere "Lucidite" Chardonnay, Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA

2019 J.K. Carriere "Lucidite" Chardonnay, Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA

ABOUT THIS WINE

'Lucidité' is crafted from Chardonnay grapes sourced from the Temperance Hill Vineyard, situated atop the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. The 2019 vintage experienced conditions similar to 2017, with a slightly more restrained profile than the preceding 2018 vintage. This resulted in balanced ripeness, modest alcohol levels, and an elegant structure where acidity and linearity are prominent. The winemaking process involved whole-cluster pressing, wild-yeast fermentation in French oak barrels (utilizing no new oak), and aging on light lees in stainless steel before bottling unfiltered in April 2022. The wine is expected to age gracefully over a 5-7 year horizon.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
